About - The College - Aims & Objectives

One of the principle roles of FOGSI is teaching. I.C.O.G. is one of its many organs in which it does this function. In my Presidential address I had envisaged a vision for I.C.O.G. This vision is to make ICOG evolve itself into one stop "all available" ultimate top-class training nucleus for obgyn not confined to India but the whole world. I.C.O.G. in my perception is sitting on an untapped potential of awesome possibilities through its enormous wealth of intellect. This is an unimaginable source of wealth generation and knowledge dissemination. I am sure during the year the governing council will ready itself to launch measures to realize this vision.

Publications like I.C.O.G. Campus have their unique importance in disseminating knowledge. I am now encouraging the editors of this brilliant publication to think out of the box and plan publication using other media like the electronic media. There are limitations of a print medium. It can't teach aspects of the subject which needs demonstrations like surgeries and imaging adequately. This can be done by DVDs and CD ROMs.

With the type of hard work that has been done by the editors and the contributors for making this issue packed with latest information, I am sure will make the issue a collector's item.
